How many miracles did Jesus perform?

Jesus performed miracles on at least 50 occasions as recorded in the four Gospels of the New Testament, as identified and explained by Christian author Ray Konig in his book Jesus the Miracle Worker, by Ray Konig.

Jesus performed these miracles during his public ministry, which by some estimates began in late AD 26 and ended 3.5 years later in early AD 30.

During that time, Jesus and his disciples, including the 12 Apostles, traveled throughout the land of Israel preaching about the Kingdom of God and performing miracles of healing and miracles that showed Jesus’ divine command over the forces of nature.

According to Konig, 39 of the occasions during which Jesus performed miracles he healed people of physical afflictions, such as leprosy, paralysis, blindness, deafness, muteness and demonic possession.

On 11 occasions, he showed his divine command over nature by walking on water, calming a storm, appearing to his disciples within a locked room in Jerusalem, and feeding thousands of people with a small amount of food.

His book, Jesus the Miracle Worker, by Ray Konig, identifies and explains each of the 50 occasions during which Jesus performed miracles.

As pointed out in his book, Jesus is by far the most documented miracle worker of the ancient world. The closest comparisons would be the miracles described in the Old Testament, such as Moses, Elijah and Elisha, or the Apostles in the New Testament, especially in the New Testament book of Acts, also known as the Acts of the Apostles.

There are other claims of miracle workers from the ancient world, such as Rabbi Hanina ben Dosa, Rabbi Honi the Circle Drawer and Apollonius of Tyana, but their accounts of alleged miracle working tend to be very sparse or they tend to read like they are fictional accounts that are based on the miracles of Jesus.

Jesus not only is the most documented miracle worker from ancient times, his miracles served many purposes. They gave people glimpses of the Kingdom of God, an eternal kingdom in which no one will suffer from any ailments of any kind. They also showed people that Jesus is the true Messiah.
